Eanna takes Care of Me!

My baby is truly the most wonderful blessing i received. Not only is she the most adorable, beautiful baby for me, she really is truly a delight and warms my heart and fills it with joy.

I have previously blogged about her bringing me slippers when I come home, and gives me a big hug and lots of kisses.

Last night was really unique, and I will forever cherish that moment.

I went inside my room to change, and she followed. Her ex-Yaya followed her but she pushed her out of the room and closed the door. Then, when she saw me undressing, she went to my cabient that was open. She looked at the stacked clothes, and picked my yellow house-dress. A couple of clothes fell to the floor as a result of her pulling the yellow one. Anyway, She went to me and gave me what I would wear. *Aawwwww*. Then, she got the clothes that fell and placed them back inside the cabinet. WOW.

And more... My used work clothes? She got them and threw them in our used clothes basket in our bathroom. Smart, smart child. Then she gave me a kiss and a smile.

Now, what mother would not be proud of that? Can I be teary-eyed now? Hahaha.

Then this morning, a funny scene again.

I was putting on some powder and took out my lash curler. She got my lash curler, then raised it as if she's using it. Hahahaha. Wow she really does imitate me!

Anyway, I truly truly adore my baby. And I can't wait till we're together all the time (well, most of the time at elast).

4th One Out

Yep, in two months, I've releieved 4 yayas. lately I have been very unlucky when it coems to hiring someone who will take of my bebe while I'm away at work *sob*.

Here's a summary:

1. Yaya C - after one month, informed us that she will just study. She wanted to be relieved asap and whether she has a reliever or not, will leave. Fine. She is not that attentive to Eanna anyway.
2. Yaya T - the very delinquent one. She left and did not return. Then went back. then after 2 weeks, wanted to go to the province becuase his garndpa died. I just told her to leave for good, don't want somebody who keeps on deserting us.
3. Yaya A - It is unfortunate for us that she stayed for a short time only, and opted to go home and take an opportunity to study 9courtesy of his Uncle). Eanna loves her! And Yaya loves her back, it's so obvious. I felt sad (and a little hurt) when she left.
4. Yaya J - this last one. She left because she complained that we don't have breakfast and meryenda for her. I was specific when she started that I don't eat breakfast and since our senior helper (Yaya N) doesn't eat breakfast too except drink coffee, I told her to just prepare for herself before Eanna wakes up. But no, she only wakes up when Eanna is awake. And yeah, she expects us to feed her meryenda (rice meal!) as well.

The last one, here's the story:

I was also contemplating last week in releasing her because I noted that Eanna doesn't go to her, and lets her out (forces her!) of our room, then closes the door (cleaver baby!). I also noticed that she's not that attentive to Eanna, as if she didn't want to take care of her. And at night when Eanna cries (she sleeps in our room, as well as the Yaya), she only "shooshes" her (sssht). Then when Eanna plays, that same Yaya doesn't go anywhere near Eanna. Ah basta, she's not good with Eanna. And Eanna dislikes her too, so no loss there.

What's irritating though was last night, she got two lawyers (the ones who got her for us). Apparently, our Yaya N told her that she can't leave unless she has a reliever. Yesterday morning though, Yaya J told us that she's leaving the next day and that she has found a reliever already. Anyway, Yaya N told me that she just said that and that if the reliever can be here that night, Yaya J can already leave. I got really pissed off because the two people outside our household was the one who appealed her case to me. And I really didn't like that. Plus mention the fact that I didn't like Yaya J's tone. I clearly told her she has to answer to me and me alone because I'm the one who employed her, not Yaya N, nor the two "lawyers". And I told her I have relieved people then and there so for her case, she can leave asap. Gash I was really irritated.

But again, like what i said, no love lost. Eanna doesn't like her, and Eanna is her boss. So, she's fired.

Tummy Aches and Bags

I was on sick leave yesterday because of minor tummy problems, and I'm glad that I'm ok now. I was worried that I won't be able to meet up with my two girl friends to talk about the upcoming wedding of 2010. Naks. Hahaha.

Anyway, as usual, while I was at home, i was surfing the net in between going to the bathroom and playing with Eanna. Nice routine eh? I suddenly remembered this bag I liked from the movie Bride Wars, that of Annne Hathaway's character. I found it on the web, Coach Gigi Leather Bag in Walnut, but I guess it's no longer available...



Then I saw this lovely Balenciaga bag in a lovely color as well...



Ack... Nope. No bags for the year. I think. i hope. I wish. Hahahahaha.

Monday Attire 07.06.09

I have an option whether to wear a uniform at work or to just wear whatever business attire I want. Last year, I didn't order any uniforms, and it was a big mistake, especially on days when I didn't feel like thinking about what to wear. So this year, I opted to order three sets, with monday as my "free" day to wear any business attire. Aside from this, of course, is our Friday casuals.

Here's what I wore today (at least close to it).

How I wish i have that Mulberry bag, but mine is just similar to it. Hehehehe. But I love my shoes. love love love it. Good thing there's a picture online.

Shoe Therapy

Oh what bliss!

I bought myself two pairs of shoes last Saturday. One is the black sandals I've been waiting for, and the other one to satiate my Barbie shoe fix (sorry, not the Louboutin I wanted!).





Wait... didn't I just buy one last week? Hehehehe. Oh well. Promise,last pair for the year. *Cross fingers*

Emoting!

I caught Eanna emoting in front of the mirror. She's too cute! But then... why "practice"?

Here are two theories:

1. She really does have inclinations. Aside from practicing in front of the mirror, she dances a lot. She also sings. At Mass, she sings with matching raising of hands.
2. She has to practice her "crying" facial expression to look convincing. To be used "when dealing with me."

Gash. My bebe is really growing up. Too fast, I think!

Can I just tell her... "Eanna Marie, before you practice in front of the mirror... TALK FIRST!" Hahahahaha. Love my bebe to bits.

Dengue Prevention

It's just a mix of water, brown sugar and yeast.

1. Cut a plastic bottle in half, keep both parts. Can be Coca Cola / Pepsi bottle.
2. Take the lower portion of the bottle. Dissolve the brown sugar in hot water. Let it cool down to ~70 degF.
3. Add the yeast. Carbon dioxide will form (This will attract the mosquitos)
4. Cover the bottle with a dark wrap and place the top portion upside down like a funnel. Place it in a corner in your house.
5. In 2 weeks you will be surprised by the number of mosquitos killed.

Beautiful Lighting While Eating

I would just love to have these lighting fixtures in our dining area (of our dream home).



Imagine, high ceilings, and the walls on top are made of glass. It's an altenative to the Murano glass bubble chandelier that I've drooled over sometime back. it'[s way cheaper too, hahahaha. And yes, I would prefer a dining area with high ceilings, contrary to the usual living area with high ceiling. I got this idea from this swanky modern penthouse featured by Metro Home magazine (interior design by the Almario sisters).


Only problem though here is... it's not as energy-saving as our current lighting. You know, me and my quest to be as environment-friendly as possible. Hahaha.

oh well, that dream home is not anywhere near in the future so it doesn't help dreaming about the dream home, right?

Forever is Forever!

Gotta love Eanna. I'm amused that everytime she gets into the car, all she wanted to hear was the Song Forever by Chris Brown. She loves this song so much that that's the only song she wants to be played. So you cna just imagine that song Forver goes on forever whenever we go to Tagaytay and back. When the song nears its end, she whines already and taps our arms as if to tell us to press thye Replay button.

I wanred my sister about this the first time she went with us to the Clinic (a good 30 minutes drive one-way). She was like "it's ok, I love that song too." She didn't expect that I was really being literal about it. After that, she never wanted to go with us when Eanna is there in our car. Hahahaha. We tried to distract her and give her other options, such as giving her our Mp3 players so that she will listen to the song using different gadgets. But no, she wants it loud. Funny thing is, when Eanna's in another car, she doesn't demand for the song.

Gash, this has been going on since the song went on air. Which is what, more than a year ago? Imagine, that song being played everytime. Over.and.Over.Again.

Good news though is that we have found an alternative song... My love Lee Min Ho's dance song "Extreme." The bebe likes it too, but not as crazy as Forever.

Ocean's 13 and Vegas

Last weekend was the first time I got to watch Ocean's 13. Yes, yes, probably I'm so late in watching it, considering that I've watched the previous movies during opening day. Anyway, the movie was more complex than ever, or am I getting too old already that my mind cannot process the seemingly complicated plot? Anyway, it just reminded me of my Vegas vacations with my sister and my cousins almost ten years ago, the time when all we could do was sneak in one of those slot machines or just watch at people, or worse, sit on the floor and fall asleep. Hahahaha. We were too young to play that time. Well, if given a chance, I'm hoping that we can meet up again in the US and go to Vegas, baby. Careful on the cash though! And I would love to eat in those mega-buffets again. Yummy.

*Sigh*

This picture shows such a good combination. Leighton Meester (for me, the prettiest girl in Gossip Girl) and her casual and easy dress, a really fierce pair of shoes (love it), and her arm candy, a Tod's D Bag. Gotta love her get-up. I can do this whole ensemble on weekends, probably even cocktails onboard a cruise. Ok I'm daydreaming again, hahahaha.

Anyway, there. I envy her bag, her shoes, her clothes, her. Hahahaha. Kidding.

But I didn't!

You see, I was about to blog about me thinking that I am now officially fat but then I got to read Jen's blog entitled "Quit Whining." It's about the fat issue and all, and that we shouldn't whine about getting fat and feel bad if we only lose half a pound a week. Hahahah, boy did I get hit by that post!

My concern however is that I am not losing weight at all, thanks to me scarfing down on food and at the same time, being lazy in going to the gym to exercise. After eating, I just sit and watch TV or play with Eanna. Do those activities burn a lot of fat? Hahaha. I don't know. But I've been really enticed with those fat-burning supplements that claim to be the best weight loss pills in town, I've seen on TV.

Oh well, just like what Jen said... QUIT WHINING! Hahahahaha.

Slippery When Wet

Nope, this is not about Bon Jovi's old album (hahaha), but it's all about bathroom safety. last night I bathed my baby and I just realized how poor my safety awareness is when it comes to the bathroom. I jhave always been used to Eanna bathing on a tub, and now that I wash her using the shower, chances of her slipping on the bathroom floor is there. I don't want to take the risk, so this weekend I plan to buy bathroom mats for both bathrooms. It's not only good for Eanna, but good for us too. I remember my Dad slipping on the floor and good thing he didn't get injured. But I;ve heard of stories of freak accidents involving slipping on the bathroom floor. Gash, don't want that to happen!

Babe in Boots

What's with Eanna these days? She's loving her pink boots a little too much.

She woke up at 6:30 am this morning, wore her pink boots, got her favorite stuffed toy Tigger, got a small bag, and off she went downstairs to feed the fish.





This has been going on for days now.

Hahahaha.

Save The Dates?

I've been thinking about Save The Dates as part of my friend's wedding preps. What is in right now? I know, it's just been three years, but I didn't really pay much attention to making save the date cards, which was all the craze back then. I just made a simple e-card (I made using powerpoint of all programs hahaha) and sent it via email to my friends, relatives, and colleagues. I wasn't really into it, just like having birth announcements when my bebe was born. Not that i'm not proud of our firstborn, it's just that... well, I didn't have any.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for S to be online, maybe I should ask her thoughts on this. In the meantime, I have yet to scout suppliers for the invites (and probably save the dtaes too if she fancies it).

Tuxedo Question

Friend S also informed me that the groomy will wear a tuxedo. Hehehehe, nice, I can just imagine him wearing just that. Pero for a beach wedding? Hmmm.... whatever fancies them right? Anyway, does anyone have an idea where to get a nice tuxedo shirt? Something comfy enoughfor the beach. That's quite difficult eh? Maybe I'd suggest that a back-up attire for the grrom, you know, after the wedding ceremony.

Shets, why am I all too excited for this! Hahahaha, I.CAN'T.WAIT.

Engaged!

My friend S has broken the news and she's engaged! I'm so happy for her, really! I've been anticipating this day and wow, I'm quite right in the timeline. Hahahaha. Anyway, she has asked me to help her plan for her big day, which would be held in Boracay. Yehey, another reason to go there.

Anyway, I'm helping her out scout for suppliers, and I've given her a few prospects. of coruse the memory of wedding preps is still a bit fresh in my mind, hahahaha. Simple, easy, comfy wedding, I think that's what she wants. Gash, first comes wedding preps, then the bridal shower, then hopefully, ahem ahem ahem... baby shower ??? Hehehehehehe. Ooooh this is getting me really excited! Happy for you S!

Fixing our Finances

Well, our budget at least. I've been keeping an excel file of our Household budget and I must say that lately I have been quite poor in keeping it and staying withing. Hahaha. Blame it on depression, loneliness, and being undecided whenit comes to work/career. Anyway, I have just noted that our loans plus my time deposit is in one bank. It's just by coincidence, really, but at elast it's a relief since we'd only be dealing with one bank for the loans (nope, I did not plan for debt consolidation and all) then one bank for our savings (actually... two... my secret account hahahah also known as my payroll account).

For the past few days I've been blogging and plurking about my uncertainty in finalyl becoming a SAHM, and my friend J told me its not as if I have to work. Yeah, I do not have to work, given our current condition, but I just want to be a little more financially secure. Or is that being greedy already? It's not because of the material things I want to buy (well, partyly hahaha) but mostly because I want to make sure that our darling baby will have a good future, the best education we can afford, the best in everything. yes I know, nothing's perfect and we can't have the best of everything all the time, but at elast for Eanna, I really want her to live a comfortable life. *Sigh* Here I go again.

Anyway, I still keep on praying for guidance and hopefully our decision is right, and what's good for our family.
